FAQ

Does this seat comply with the new NHTSA regulation?

Yes, this seat complies with the new FMVSS 213 side impact and frontal impact safety standards.

Can I install this seat with both LATCH and the vehicle seat belt at the same time?

No. You must never use the vehicle seat belt and LATCH installation methods at the same time. Only one installation method should be used. LATCH installation has a maximum child weight limit of 30 lbs rear-facing and 35 lbs forward-facing.

Can this seat be installed in an aircraft?

Yes. When routing the lap belt on an aircraft, it goes over the top of the SafeLock belt tensioner, not under it as in a vehicle. Unfasten the SensorSafe chest clip during taxi, takeoff, and landing.

When do I remove the infant insert?

The infant insert consists of a head pad and a seat pad with a removable foam wedge. The seat pad is for use up to 11 lbs with the foam wedge or up to 20 lbs without it. The head pad is for use up to 20 lbs.

CYBEX products are backed by the manufacturer’s standard warranty. For warranty claims, contact CYBEX Consumer Services. This car seat expires 10 years from the date of manufacture. CYBEX advises replacing any child restraint after a crash of any kind, even if it was unoccupied, as unseen damage may compromise safety. Always use the tether in both rear-facing and forward-facing modes for optimal stability. Do not use with inflatable seat belts. Fabric covers are machine washable in cold water on a delicate cycle; drip dry. Cupholders are dishwasher safe.
